Loch Lomond was extremely busy with kayak fisher this Monday . We took advantage of the weather this time , average temperature around 10 C , light wind and no rain at all . We have two new faces now in the group , Al and Chris . Al came all the way with his brand new hobbie motorised kayak , fully kitted , an absolute belter of a machine . The road side was busy on the day and we eventually managed to fit 8 kayaks on the sandy beach . 8 kayakers soon become 7 , Ian unfortunately having to make it back to shore . We paddle North all trying to catch fish . Pike and perch merely and all those fish were sitting lethargically in deeper water  . We stopped having something to eat mid day and carried on exploring even more . Good weather , terrible fishing . Most of us then paddle back testing the strengthening wind . Nick fish catcher and Glen stayed behind . Back to the sandy beach  , coffee time and some more fishing . Alas no fish . Nick is now back , all smile , caught and release a bonnie trout , his personal best so he says ! We believe Nick and surrender the prizes donated by stuart , good guy ! Two magic lures made his day . So , Mid March and the group is steadily increasing , 8 kayaks is a cool turnout . The fishing in fresh water is still early in the season but will surely improve soon . We found some cracking sceneries and also some nasty litter in one area , such a shame , Buckfast and nature do not mix well  . We enjoyed our day however we could have enjoyed it even more if the fish did decide  to play . Where is next ?
